Solution Implementation
Salzer Technologies designed and implemented an end-to-end IoT platform that connected client’s vehicles to the internet through IoT SIM–enabled devices. These devices transmitted data to a centralized IoT database, which was monitored across more than 100+ virtual machines (VMs) for reliability and scale.
Key elements of the solution included:
- Vehicle Data Streaming: Transmission of diagnostic data such as engine fault codes, fuel levels, oil change requirements, and real-time mileage.
- Proactive Maintenance: When mileage or diagnostic thresholds were reached, the system automatically notified the dealership, prompting them to schedule maintenance appointments with the customer.
- Parental Safety Features: Integration of driver alerts, geo-fencing, and real-time speed monitoring. Parents received notifications if speed limits were exceeded or if a vehicle moved outside predefined boundaries.
- Remote Vehicle Commands: Through a Salzer-developed mobile application, users could remotely lock/unlock the car, locate the vehicle, and trigger horn/lights for security or convenience.
