Simplified online health portal system in Angola and it’s a system to cover the automatic
appointment system to improve patient access to primary health care.
About Partner
To make an online health portal in Angola, where the
users will be able to check health establishments
information, make appointments with doctors and
rate health establishments. The web page is supposed
to be the” web version” of the mobile app “Appy
Saúde”.
Solution
- Salzer Technologies created a health portal platform for the patients to keep a record of their health activity. Doctors and Health establishments shall also be able to manage their account, which will allow them to confirm /cancel appointments, create or update their profile (including list of patients for doctors and doctor’s list for health establishments).
- The system architecture is based on the three-tier enterprise architecture, comprised of a data layer, business logic, and a presentation layer. Necessary patterns are implemented to support business application integration and to allow usage of database
- The Home screen consists of Search bar with type ahead functionality to allow users to see suggestions as he types on the search bar. The Search is separated into different sections as follow: “Health Establishments, Diseases & Doctors”. The Booking Section is built to make appointments with the doctor’s in the health establishments. The Navigation bar helps to list the top-rated health establishments.
- In this system, the user is required to have his login done when he wants to make a comment or review on a health establishment. Similar to the Mobile app, the user will have a page where he can Edit/Update his information. In addition, Sponsor and Map area, the health establishment are marked differently so that the user can select and proceed with appointment booking. The Pharmacy information are associated with health establishments for easy accessibility.
- One of the security measures implemented in this health portal system are:
- All API Keys used to get the required information are duly protected and masked. The main goal is to avoid bots to be able to extract automatically all information from the database.
