Driving Digital Transformation: Enhancing Business Integration and Online Presence
The rapid development of Internet Technologies in recent years has given a huge fillip to digital collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Challenges
The problems faced by patients may be too big and complex for any one organization to solve. By working collaboratively, advocates can amplify the patients’ voice to address common issues. But there was a lack of a centralized platform where patients, doctors and advocates could exchange ideas and come up with innovative solutions.
Solution
The Solution implemented to overcome the challenge was to design a state-of-the-art secure online collaborative platform complete with blogs, newsletters, forum, announcements and video libraries where doctors could register in the platform and patients could safely post their concerns. This could be immediately escalated to the doctors and medical personnel to help resolve it innovatively, as part of the partners in patient health (PIPH) system. An organic digital environment that could scale up to thousands of doctors and patients and various partners, contributing to improving patient care.
- Salzer Technologies created the base environment of PIPH Portal completely independent of the UI design. Later, the new website provided the upgraded UI and web 2.0 features such as Blogs, Wiki, Mailing Lists, RSS Feeds Interactive Capability, etc. The new website is integrated with the latest version of Technology and standards.
- The system architecture is based on the three-tier enterprise architecture, comprised of a data layer, business logic, and a presentation layer. Necessary patterns are implemented to support business application integration and to allow usage of database.
- The new website has the following modules as part of partners in patient health system:
- Home Screen
- Blogs
- Messages
- Resource Library
- Video Library
- Surveys
- Users/Organization
- Users/Organization
- Announcements
- News Feed
- The new system is designed in such a way that the Admin user can create/view/edit/delete events, blogs, resource library, messages, also provide the ability of search for approved data on site: user profiles, events/webinars, resources, blogs, comments.
- The security framework implemented had the following technical features built-in, for efficient administration:
- Host and Administrator accounts
